This is an unpublished piece I submitted to the Komikero Komiks Anthology #9 which was slated to be released during this year's Summer Komikon but failing to reach the minimum number of submissions needed, the issue was postponed. The theme assigned was anything autobiographical whether an incident or anecdote each creator would like to tell a story of. I decided to go a different route, something I'd like to call metabiographical. It's not strictly a true incident that happened in the past but rather my views about online social networking. Inspired by an old Walt Disney animated short titled, Reason and Emotion:
It's something rather harsh but better the truth than hide behind something that's less than that. At least I think it's harsh. Anyway, this story would be included in the second edition of Hand Drawn, Quartered, & Other Tell-Tales to be released this October in time for the main Komikon event. You can read the rest of the story after the jump.

Civil Rights Attorney Leo Terrell seems already incensed from the get-go. I usually don't involve myself in any public discussion of social or political issues (I believe it a two-way street that people can agree to disagree without being total jerks) but this one sample goes beyond the Chick Fil-A issue to attacking the Bible itself. Curiously, he keeps hammering the line about it being used to put down women. Has he even read it?

God in Ancient China is a video that was introduced to me by a friend a couple of weeks ago by my friend from college by way of an interesting trivia he showed us. He said that there were certain (ordinary) words when in written in Chinese characters reveal extraordinary origins. Origins that can only be traced to one particular people, place, incident leading to a much older story found in the Bible.
Now the idea of the ancient Chinese being a monotheistic people wasn't new to me, having learned about this episode of Chinese history in the book, Eternity in Their Hearts: Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds of Cultures Throughout the World (which is highly recommended if you're interested in the subject of apologetics). It was there that I first encountered the name ShangDi:
Shangdi, (Chinese: “Lord-on-High”) Wade-Giles romanization Shang-ti, also called Di, ancient Chinese deity, the greatest ancestor and deity who controlled victory in battle, harvest, the fate of the capital, and the weather. He had no cultic following, however, and was probably considered too distant and inscrutable to be influenced by mortals. Shangdi was considered to be the supreme deity during the Shang dynasty (1600–1046 century bce), but during the Zhou dynasty (1046–256 bce) he was gradually supplanted by heaven (tian)*.
